Zebra Mussels
Posted on Sep 23rd, 2015
Zebra mussels have been confirmed in the lake.  According to the NOAA National Center for research on Aquatic Invasive Species, "There are no known methods for eliminating zebra mussels without severely damaging the ecosystem of the water body in which they've been found."  In order to prevent the spread of zebra mussels to other waters, all watercraft and trailers should be inspected and washed down when removed from the lake.  Dispose of water from live wells and bait buckets on dry land.  Leave your watercraft and trailer out of water for at least 5 days before using in another body of water.  FAQ
